New primary school building | Bauhausplatz Munich

The city of Munich is currently realizing four new primary school buildings on four different city locations at the same time. It is the reaction on the increased demand for educational facilities in a still growing city. Completion of the school buildings is expected for 2017, among these is the new primary school at the future “Bauhausplatz” in Munich-Schwabing/Freimann. Main concept of the schools is a modular system based on the idea of the „learning-house concept“, developed by the architectural office Wulf Architekten (Stuttgart).

The future five-track school will provide space for teaching and full-time children’s’ care after school service. Additionally a triplex gymnasium and outdoor sporting fields are created as well as a children’s house for toddlers and kindergarten-kids.
